聞きたい噺を聞く方法(English follows Japanese)

聞きたいのが古典か新作かによるが、お目当ての噺を聞く方法はある。

1季節の噺

例えば『船徳』は4月8日に寄席に行けば確実に聞けるはず。12月に寄席やホール落語会に行けば『芝浜』を高確率で楽しめる。

2イベントの噺

7月8月の花火の時期は『たがや』、忠臣蔵で盛り上がる12月には『七段目』、『蔵丁稚』がかかる回数が増える。もちりろん4月は花見の噺がかかりまくり。

3人気の噺

今のところYouTubeで検索すると大抵の噺が聴ける(もちろん寄席等では録音録画禁止されてます)。新作はタイトルが定まってないことも多いので、噺家の名前で検索した方がいいかもしれない。

しかし早く落語協会、落語芸術協会のHPで噺検索もできるようになってほしいものだ。

How to enjoy the story you want to listen to.

It depends on whether you want to listen to the classics or the newly-made, there is a way to enjoy it. 

1 Season’s story

If you go to Yose ( Rakugo performance theatre) on April 8th, you can definitely listen to”Funatoku”. You’ll enjoy ”Shibahama” often when you go to Yose     in December.

2 Event’s story

During the fireworks festivals season in July and August, you may listen to ”Tagaya”.  Chu-shin-Gura is getting popular around the end of the year, so many Rakugo performers want to speak ”Shichi-dan-me” or “Kura Detch”.

Of course, several kinds of Hanami stories are talked many times until cherry blossom viewing events end in April. 

3 Popular story

For now,  we can enjoy almost all the popular Rakugo stories on YouTube. Of course, recording any Rakugo performance is forbidden in Yose.

The newly-made Rakugo sometimes change their titles, so you should look for it not by its title, but the name of Rakugo performer who created it.

I hope both the Rakugo Association and the Rakugo Art Association HP come to add a searching function which can use Rakugo story names as a keyword someday.
