落語の中の大岡裁きはちょっとヘン(English follows Japanese)

落語の中で人気者の中に大岡越前がいる。『三方一両損』や『大工調べ』が有名だ。

元ネタがあるせいか噺の構成もしっかりしてて誰でも楽しめるが、中にはヘンなのもある。

『小間物屋政談』という噺があるが、オチを言えば奥さんを交換してメデタシ！という結末だ。聞くたびに思うがコレって名裁き？

男性と女性では受け取り方が違うのかもしれない。男性なら再婚済みの元女房より美人で莫大な身代持ちの女性と結婚できて万歳なのかもだが、女性側としてはどんなもんだろう。

A strange Judge Ooka’s Rakugo story

One of the popular heroes in Rakugo world is Judge Ooka. Famous his episode is such as “Sanpo Ichiyo Zon” (All three people lose money) or “Daiku Shirabe”(A Carpenter vs a landowner trial). These stories are based on a novel, they are well-constructed and amusing for everyone.

But one story seems a bit strange.There is a story named ”Komamonoya Seidan”(A case of sewing shop owner). The conclusion of this story is, in a nutshell, exchanging the wives. Whenever I listened to it, I wonder whether it is the best solution.

Men may take this end pleasantly. But women may feel uncomfortable for it. 

A man might rather get married to a beautiful woman who has a lot of fortune than stay with ex-wife who already has her husband. But from the viewpoint of a woman, is it a happy ending?
